Manufacturer’s Defect Limited Warranty

Various provisions in this Manufacturer’s Defect Limited Warranty (the “Limited Warranty”) restrict coverage. Read the entire Warranty carefully to determine your rights and duties and our obligations with respect to this Warranty.

Limited Warranty Coverage:

Madico, Inc., the manufacturer of the Invisible Windshield Protective Film (“the Product”), warrants to the original retail purchaser of the Product, that when the Product is maintained according to the Product Care Requirements on the reverse side of this Warranty, it will be free of discernible manufacturing defects, including but not limited to substantial yellowing, cracking, bubbling or peeling, for a period of 18 months or 18,000 miles, whichever comes first, from the date of purchase of the Product (the “Limited Warranty Period”). This Limited Warranty only applies to the original purchaser of the Product, and the original application of the Product to the vehicle described in this Limited Warranty, and is not transferable or assignable, by operation of law or otherwise. There are no warranties other than this Limited Warranty, and all other warranties, express or implied, including any implied warranties of fitness for a particular purpose or of merchantability, are specifically disclaimed.

In the event that the Product is determined by Madico to be defective, Madico will replace the defective film by delivering replacement film to any Madico certified installer of the product, as designated by the claimant. This shall be Madico’s only obligation under this Limited Warranty. Madico is not responsible for the cost of re-installation of the Product. In no event shall Madico be liable or responsible for any loss or damage, including, without limitation, direct, indirect or consequential damages. This Limited Warranty shall be void if the Product has been subject to abuse, improper installation and/or care. This Limited Warranty gives you specific legal rights and you may also have other rights which vary by country, region, state, department, prefecture, province, county, or city.

Exclusions and Limitations:

Exclusions: This Warranty only covers discernible manufacturing defects in the Product as defined above, and does not cover damage that is caused by or results from (a) deterioration of the Product due to normal wear (windshield wiper scratching is considered normal wear), accident, collision, negligence, misuse, abuse, neglect, mishandling, alteration, maladjustment, modification, customization or vandalism, (b) sandstorms, hail, tornadoes, hurricanes, (c) any use of the vehicle on dirt roads, mining roads, gravel roads (off-road), (d) chemicals and caustic materials, (e) falling objects, (f) cleaning or scrubbing the product on the windshield with abrasive material, (g) any usage of a power washer on the windshield, (h) fraudulent claims, (i) products not supplied by Us, (j) installation by anyone other than a Madico approved ClearPlex Windshield Film installer, (k) misapplication or faulty installation, or (i) cosmetic damage.

Limitations: No agent, representative, installer, dealer or employee has the authority to alter, extend, limit, modify, or increase the obligations or limitations of this Limited Warranty. The installer of the Product is NOT an employee or agent of Madico, Inc. The installer is solely responsible for any defects that result from improper installation, or from any modifications or repairs made to your vehicle in connection with the installation of the Product.

Warranty Claim Procedures:

To initiate a claim under this Limited Warranty, the original purchaser must provide written notice of the warranty claim, within the Limited Warranty Period, to the installing ClearPlex dealer. If the dealer is unavailable, the warranty claim may be sent in writing to Madico’s Warranty Department online at warranty@madico.com, or at Madico, Inc., Warranty Department, 9251 Belcher Road N, Pinellas Park, FL 33782.
The warranty claim must include a copy of the original recent purchase receipt and a photograph of the defective Product. An inspection of the vehicle, or supplemental information, may be required as part of the warranty verification process.
