Because Ceramic Pro is permanent coating it is best applied by professionals trained and experienced in applying permanent coatings. This ensures that the coating is applied correctly and guarantees the longevity and good looks. Given Ceramic Pro 9H is permanent, reapplication is not something you have to worry about like with traditional waxes or coatings.

The application of Ceramic Pro can be done in layers. The level of protection increases with the amount of layers. The warranty period also increases with the amount of layers. The cost of course increases with the amount of layers applied.

At Protective Film Solutions we offer 3 different packages for Ceramic Pro paint protection, each with a different amount of layers, warranty period and cost. The Gold Package uses 4 layers of Ceramic Pro 9H plus an additional layer in high wear areas. This package has a lifetime warranty. The Silver Package uses one layer of Ceramic Pro 9H and has a 5 year warranty. The Bronze Package uses 1 layer of Ceramic Pro Light and includes a 2 year warranty.

Ceramic Pro is like an additional clearcoat, but harder

One way to look at Ceramic Pro is as if it were an additional clearcoat. We all know that as long as there is enough thickness in your clearcoat, it can be polished. By providing more depth of protection, and additional layers, Ceramic Pro extends the life of which paint can be polished.

There is more to it though. Clearcoat isn’t slick, but Ceramic Pro is. To maintain slickness on clearcoat you need constant waxing. Ceramic Pro offers the protection and slickness to keep your car cleaner longer and reduce maintenance time.

For a comparison, normal clearcoat has a hardness between 2H and 4H. Ceramic Pro once cured has a hardness above 9H. Plus, if you do scratch it, you can polish it out without ever touching the actual clearcoat.

Because Ceramic Pro uses nano-technology and thus nano-particles, the surface is much less porous than paint. This makes it so the surface of your paint is slicker than it has ever been. Also, since nano-particles fill every pore in the paint or clearcoat, nothing can stick. The surface also becomes extremely hydrophobic. Bird droppings, bee droppings, pollen, bugs and grime can simply not stick because of the very much reduced surface tension.

Ceramic Pro is a permanent protective coating. Ceramic Pro is also multi-layerable, meaning that by the application of multiple layers the thickness of the coating can be increased.

Some people talk about layering waxes. However, there is a point where the top layer is simply eating down into the bottom layer. For that reason, the thickness never really increases. Ceramic Pro is different in that not only is it a permanent coating, but its thickness can be increased by layering. This of course will increase the protection factor and the durability of the coating.

Ceramic Pro Coating for Paint

After a Ceramic Pro coating has cured it will become a permanent, rigid yet flexible shield of glass. The coating uses a transparent nano-technology 3D matrix which offers protection against minor scratching, weathering, contaminants, early oxidation and aging. Ceramic Pro also offers a level of UV protection not found in other coatings.

For paint, Ceramic Pro is available in the flagship 9H (extra hard) formula with a lifetime warranty and also the Light variant for up to 2 years of protection.
